A stalled remodeling project on an old middle school in Minnesota is getting back on track after the college which owns the building decided bring in a dumpster and replace the roof which was in desperate need of repair.

The Northfield Middle School, which is now owned by Carleton College, was scheduled to be remodeled to house classrooms and other facilities, but the Northfield News reports that the poor economy halted the project.

Carlton College says that after remodeling, the former Northfield Middle School will house a number of multiple-use classrooms along with a teaching museum and a number of art-related facilities including dance studios and multiple theaters.

A small town in Colorado is making it more difficult for residents to take on any serious home remodeling projects as there is a new restriction being placed on residential dumpsters and waste containers. The city council is looking to make it illegal for residence to place dumpsters on their properties without fiirst concealing it with a large enough fence.
